But with the current exchange rate 5:1, I don't know how often I'll be shopping there. ;)Jessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796098208589965362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7670543499274741427.post-10023015221607524032014-03-11T16:33:50.196+01:002014-03-11T16:33:50.196+01:00I think you need to establish a liaison in England...I think you need to establish a liaison in England whom you provide with a "to acquire" list which they consult whenever they are in an English book store. Then they send you a pile of books every few months. I'd do it for you if I lived in England....

I wonder if online stores in England such as The Space Merchants (run by a SF friend) ship to Poland...

http://thespacemerchants.co.uk/ Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7670543499274741427.post-73570529014647871222014-03-11T08:40:04.356+01:002014-03-11T08:40:04.356+01:00Unfortunately (or fortunately...), I have only the...Unfortunately (or fortunately...), I have only the collection which Cri de Coeur came from (Blue Kansas Sky), another Bishop collection, Blooded on Arachne, and perhaps Bishop's most famous work, Brittle Innings. Getting my hands on the lesser known works is troublesome. But given the revere with which I hold Bishop (he really is unheralded), I pick up anything that comes Poland's way. A Funeral for the Eyes of Fire (1975) (the original publication, he rewrote it in 1980) and Stolen Faces (1977) are the best of the three I've read (Beneath the Stolen Moons (1976) could have been much better but was filled with cool ideas, metaphors)--- I wish I could garner the courage to review Stolen Faces but it's sort of defeated me so far.... Loved both.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
